Words from Within - Storytelling Edition We are a multitude of stories. When we create a space to say yes to ourselves, share a story about ourselves, have it be held in safety and celebration, we connect to each other in a deeper way and tap into a greater sense of humanity. How does it work: Whether you've prepared a story beforehand or want to spontaneously share, storytellers will drop their name in a hat for the chance to share their story. You're also welcome to join and listen, cry, laugh, or D all of the above for the evening. Here's what you need to know: - The story must be true. - The story must be from your own life. - The story must directly relate to the theme. - The story must be five minutes or less. Theme for the evening: Unfolding Maybe it's about transformation, but it could also be about: * Something you thought was one thing but turned out to be something completely different * A relationship that revealed learnings you never expected (good or complicated!) * A talent or passion that was hiding in plain sight until you discovered it for yourself * That time when the universe seemed to be opening a door you didn't even know existed * When you watched someone show you who they really are - for better or worse * An experience that started simple but unraveled into something that changed you * Whatever story pops into your mind about this theme, go for it! Remember, your story doesn't have to be earth-shattering - sometimes it's the simple, quiet, unassuming unfoldings that make the best stories. We're here for ALL of it <3 Tips for the telling of your story: - Don't over think it! It's supposed to be fun and inclusive. - Give yourself permission to take up space and tell the story.
